Martha Murray

Hillsborough - Mrs. Martha Riley Murray, 92, died Thursday, August 25, 2016. She was the wife of the late Joseph Henry Murray, Sr. She retired from Tiny Tots day care. She loved her church, working in the yard, read only one book, the Bible (King James Version) and had deep love for her family and friends. Surviving are two daughters and their families: Sandra M. Sharpe (Tom), grandson, Kevin Sharpe (Paula), two great grandchildren, Kenly and Kolton Sharpe, grandson Travis Sharpe (Michelle), 2 great grandchildren, Isleigh and Weston Sharpe; Tammie M. Rich (Tim), grandson, Jonathan Rich. Two deceased great grandchildren, Christopher and Timothy Rich. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Phyllis Murray wife of deceased son, Joseph H. Murray, Jr., grandson, Bryan K. Murray (Colette), granddaughter, Rena Olimpo (Joseph), and two great grandson, Michael and Jacob Olimpo. She was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa M. Davis, living granddaughter, Susan Barlette. Also predeceased by four sisters: Irene R. Combs, Inez R. Morton, Pauline R. Dickerson, and Grace R. Wright, three brothers: Thomas Riley, Walter Riley, and Fred Riley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rick Finley, Dr. Devon Blanton, and Dr. Randy Carter. Visitation will be 2-3 PM Sunday.
