Margaret Lee Welch

Margaret (Marge) Welch passed away in her sleep at her assisted living facility in Chapel Hill, NC, February, 2022.

A stroke survivor and mother of 3, Marge was a devoted wife to her husband Larry and mother to her sons, Jeff, Mark and Jason.

A knack for always being there for her family, friends and those in need she was quite literally everyone’s Mom. Her continual commitment to others and tireless work ethic were always front and center, but it was her optimism, kindness and modesty that are remembered most.

In the 1980s she became co-owner of Phase V of Southwest Florida, Inc. in Fort Myers, FL. There, she was instrumental in growing the business through hard work, and with unwavering attention and commitment to her customers and business partners.

After moving to the Maggie Valley, NC area in 1999, she later made her mark in residential real estate with the same dedication, commitment and focus as in years prior.

Marge enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved Christmas time and the holidays.

She is survived by her 2 sons, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
