Linda Walker Dunn

Linda Mae Walker Dunn, 63, died February 27, 2012 at her home in Pittsboro, NC with her beloved husband Walter by her side. Linda was born November 29, 1948 in Kane, PA, the daughter of Dorothy and David Walker, JR. Mrs. Dunn was a Program Coordinator for the UNC Office of Sponsored Research where she worked for 8 years. Previous to the University, Linda retired from Bank of America where she worked for 28 years in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Linda was devoted to her family above all and loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, while she also enjoyed working out doors in her garden. She enjoyed nothing more in her free time than her arts and crafts projects that many family and friends reaped the benefits of over the years. She married Walter L. Dunn, JR December 18, 1965 in Chapel Hill, NC. They just celebrated their 45th year of marriage this past December. Linda is survived by her loving husband Walter; parents Dorothy and David Walker, JR of Pittsboro.; daughter Dorothy Dunn Glosson of Pittsboro.; son David Dunn of Charlotte.; brothers, David Walker, III of Erie, PA., James Walker, SR of Durham and sister, Terry Smedley of Orlando, FL. Linda is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Jenna, Brandon and Hunter Glosson and 2 great grandchildren, Ally and Aiden. She was preceeded in death by her son Walter Lee Dunn, III. A loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and more. Linda will be missed and forever in our hearts. A visitation will take place at Walker's Funeral Home, 120 W. Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC, Thursday March 1st, 2012 from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 29 Rock Springs Church Rd, Pittsboro, NC, Friday March 2nd, 2012 at 2pm.
