Larry Copley

Mr. Larry Carrington Copley, 79, died Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born in Durham to Mary and Thomas Copley. He attended the Durham County Schools. He farmed and was employed at Erwin Mills. He married Myrtle Copley and lived in Durham until they moved to Hillsborough in 1985. He worked for Earl Latta and later retired from N.C. Department of Transportation. He loved his family. Surviving are his wife Myrtle Dunn Copley, one son, Glenn Copley (Teresa), one step-son, Nelson Clayton (Kim), one sister, Mary Lee Copley Hawkins (Warren), five grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and one step-son, David Michael Clayton. The memorial service will be 1-3 PM Saturday, January 19, at the home, 1705 Coleman Loop Road, Hillsborough.
