Katherine Porter

Katherine Bland Porter, January11, 2017 - May 3, 1942 Katherine was born in Durham, N.C. on May 3, 1942. She attended Hillsboro High School and graduated in 1960. She enjoyed her career as an office manager in the dental community for 30+ years. She enjoyed time with family, travel, movies, gardening, reading, and working puzzles. She was loved by all and enjoyed meeting new people. She would encourage everyone to live each day to the fullest and show love to everyone. Katherine is survived by her husband, Frederick Porter of the home, a daughter, Katrina P. Cochran (Charles) of Shelby, NC, a son, David Porter (Laura) of Harrisburg, NC, four grandchildren: Tucker Carroll, Reid, Grant and Macie Porter, a brother, Wayne Bland (Ann) of Wilson, NC. Her loved ones will receive friends and family, from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough, 204 N.
