Katherine Lynne Mohrfeld

Katherine "Kate" Lynne Mohrfeld, 85, of Fearrington Village, NC passed away at her home on September 1, 2020 after a short illness. She was surrounded by family. She was born on July 19, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Katherine and William Lynne. Kate is survived by her brother, William Lynne of Naples, FL and her two daughters, Lynne Mohrfeld of Fearrington Village and Katie Ross of Black Mountain, NC. Kate grew up in York, PA. She attended Endicott College in Beverly, MA, Tobe-Coburn School in New York, NY and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She worked in fashion early in her career, later in antiques sales at the Whitehall Shop in Chapel Hill, NC and James Kennedy Gallery in Durham, NC. She loved art, antiques, decorating and travel, having lived in Italy and Spain for five years. Kate will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. The Mohrfeld family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill.
