June Walker

CALDWELL - Mrs. June Terry Walker, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the Roxboro Nursing Center. Mrs. Walker was born June 24, 1919, to the late Hattie Ladd Terry and John T. Terry and resided in the Caldwell Community in Orange County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Y. Walker and brothers, Fred Terry, Alfred Terry and Pegram Terry. Mrs. Walker is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Terry (Bernie) Allison of Durham, Mrs. Patricia (Steve) Day of Rougemont and one son, Everett (Buster) Walker of Hillsborough. Also surviving her are her precious grandchildren: Sherry (Taylor) Peel, Greg (Donna) Walker of Rougemont, Brad (Melissa) Allison and Amy (Austin) Dubisar of Hurdle Mills, Ashley (Cody) Crotts of Lewisville, Brent Walker of Hurdle Mills, and Kyle and Joshua Walker of Hillsborough. Eight great grandchildren: Abby and Rachel Peel, Logan Allison, Lauren O'Neill, Avery Dubisar, Wyatt Walker, Amanda and B. J. Bradford. Her sister, Mrs. Lois (Polly) Crone of Winnsboro, Texas, also survives. June was a wonderful homemaker, loving to sew, quilt, and cook for her family. Her gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at New Sharon United Methodist Church in Hillsborough, N.C., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
