June Austin

Roxboro - Mrs. June Tatro Austin, 59, died Sunday, December 21, 2014. She was born in Orange County and attended the Orange and Durham County Schools. She was employed at Fairy Stone Fabrics. In 2000 she moved to Person County. She was a caring mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Arvel Austin, her daughter, Christina Walton, Roxboro, two step-sons, Daniel Austin (Jennifer), Roxboro and Bobby Austin (fiancé Kellye), Pittsboro, four sisters: Dot Terry, Mebane, Mary Tatro, Hillsborough, Betty Faulkner, Chapel Hill, and Brenda Phillips (Wayne), Hillsborough, one brother, William Tatro (Jan), and one granddaughter, MacKenzie Austin. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Ruth Tatro, her sister, Ann Williams, and her grandsons, John Kenneth Miner, III, and Cameron Wayne Austin. The memorial service will be held 3 PM Saturday in Walker's Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Saturday in the funeral home.
