NORTON, Joseph Todd Obituary



Joseph Todd Norton, known to all as “Joey”, passed away on January 18, 2022. He was born on July 16, 1965 in Alamance County, North Carolina to Raymond Norton of Graham, NC and Patricia Haynes of St. George, UT.

Joey graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill and immediately decided to dedicate his life to helping others through volunteering at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. As a teenager, Joey sustained an injury that left him paralyzed. He frequently visited with patients who were paralyzed from traumatic injuries encouraging them not to give up on life, that it is was worth living, and, like him, live it well in spite of being paralyzed.

He is survived by his father, Raymond Norton and his stepmother, Martha; his mother, Patricia Haynes and stepfather, Richard; two brothers: David E Norton and is wife Rhonda Lewallen and Christopher Ray Norton.
