Jonathan Terrell

Mr. Jonathan Clayton Terrell, 37, of Chapel Hill, died unexpectedly on February 1, 2016. Jon was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 17, 1978, the son of Marvin C. Terrell (now deceased) and Lynda Alyce Weaver Terrell. Jon could always put a smile on your face, "a funny, witty kid." His laugh was contagious. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving and he loved to cook. Jon was one heck of a tennis player with a nasty top spin! Jon loved music, old records and CD's which he frequently made for his family and friends to enjoy. He loved giraffes! Jon was an achiever; he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated from Watts Nursing School. Taking care of others as a nurse, showed his true caring spirit. His love of the arts was expressed through photography. Jon was looked up to by many; loved by many; and will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include his mother, Lynda Terrell of Landrum, SC; sisters, Carol Gibbs of Rutherfordton, NC, and Erin Thompson of Tryon, NC; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Jon will be cremated, and his family asks that Jon be remembered in an appropriate manner of your own choosing. Arrangements are under the care of Walker's Funeral Service and Cremation of Chapel Hill.
