CHAPEL HILL Mr. John Daniel Jones, Jr., age 91, passed away at his home in Chapel Hill on August 22, 2012. John was the son of the late John D. Jones, Sr. and Annie Griffin Jones of Red Oak, NC. He moved to Chapel Hill from Red Oak in1946 with his wife Barbara Neville of Chapel Hill. John owned and operated Village Laundry & Cleaners until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, son John D. Jones, lll, wife Diane, of Chapel Hill, grandson, John D. Jones lV of Charlotte, and niece, JoAnn Hendrix, of Chapel Hill. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church, 2025 Ephesus Church Rd.. Chapel Hill, NC 27517. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, 1721 Legion Rd., Chapel Hill 27514 In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to Ephesus Baptist Church in John's memory.
