Jane Morrow Roller, 98, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at Springmoor Retirement Center in Raleigh, NC. She was born on July 22, 1916, in Plain City, Ohio, the daughter of Pearl Grieves Morrow and Alexander Brabson Morrow. Her father, a Presbyterian minister, moved the family to Stanley, North Dakota, and then to Pontiac, Illinois, where they settled. Jane was the oldest of three children. A brother, James Morrow (Jim) and sister, Margaret Spalding (Peg) predeceased her. After graduating high school in Pontiac, Jane went on for two years to Blackburn College, and then to the University of Illinois where she earned her bachelors degree. She met her future husband, John Reid Roller (Reid), while working at Weco Products in Chicago, IL. They were married on September 13, 1941. Jane and Reid had three daughters, all born in Chicago. The family moved to Pocantico Hills, Tarrytown, NY and later to Connecticut. Upon Reid's retirement from advertising in New York, they moved to Seattle, Washington, where Reid taught advertising at the University of Washington. They retired to Chapel Hill, NC. After Reid's death Jane moved to Springmoor Retirement Center in Raleigh. Jane was predeceased by Reid (1991), and is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Katherine Roller Littlewood (John), Susan Roller Graber (Scott), and Margaret R. Roller (Jim Robinson). She is also survived by two grandchildren, Alexander Littlewood (Laura) and Zachary Graber, and two great grandchildren, Jacob Littlewood and Poppy Littlewood.
