Jane Reinecke

Jane Sutherland Reinecke March 23, 1934 - March 22, 2013 Chapel Hill Jane passed away peacefully at UNC Medical Center after a short illness. She grew up in Southern Pines and Fayetteville, attended St. Mary's in Raleigh and graduated from Woman's College in Greensboro. She spent most of her working career at Burrough's Wellcome until her retirement in 1995. Jane spent her retirement volunteering at the Chapel Hill PTA Thrift Shop, Chapel Hill Public Library, and Habitat for Humanity. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth Reinecke, Susan Reinecke (Russ Ferris), brother John Reinecke (Janet), and numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Janie. A Memorial Service will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Chapel Hill, Monday, March 25 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
