TERRY HILLSBOROUGH - Mr. James Franklin "Frank" Terry, age 81, died Monday, November 7, 2011. He was born in Orange County and was the son of the late Jethro Terry and Annie Mae Pearson Terry. He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Terry. Prior to retirement he was a cable splicer for AT&T and Bell South. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Pioneers of America. He loved his grandchildren and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a good person for someone to know. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Simpson Terry of the home; his children and their spouses, James Franklin Terry, Jr., (Fidelina) of Graham; Teresa Gail Terry (Joe) of Hillsborough; two grandsons, James Franklin Terry, III, and Nickolas Terry; five brothers Bobby Terry, Warren Terry of Hillsborough; Rainey Terry of Durham; Richard Terry of Buckhorn; Jack Terry of Orange County; two sisters, Frances Terry of Hurdle Mills; Edna Tucker of Hillsborough; one sister-in-law, Shirley Tant of Roanoke Rapids. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Walker's Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsborough. Officiating will be the Rev. Marion Saxon. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Chapel Hill, NC. Pallbearers will be nephews. Visitation will be held 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Walker's Funeral Home.
