Jim loved the Lord. He started off his day in prayer and ended the night in prayer. He was the type of man who was a true Southern Gentleman. He was polite, gracious, and kind. Everyone who ever met him always made the same type of comments. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, and went on to have a career in sales, real estate, and eventually became a consultant for startup businesses. He lived by his values and these values extended to everything he did. His dementia erased his current memories, but he spoke of “home” often meaning Hillsborough. Several years ago, he requested that he be buried near his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Kay C. Reeves of Memphis, his children, David C. Reeves (Geri) of Daytona Beach FL, Kelly N. Reeves, JD of Arlington, VA S. Kristi Reeves-Pennington (Ken) of Raleigh, NC, his 5 Grandchildren, Riley Reeves, Cole Kaplan and Lane Kaplan, Mallie Pennington and Morgan Pennington, his brother, Paul J. Reeves (Peggy) of Durham, NC, 3 Nieces and 2 Nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul J. and Mozelle L. Reeves, and his sister June Reeves Spears.
