James Briggs

Hillsborough - Mr. James Everette Briggs, 54, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born in Person County and attended the Person County schools. His work included farming and constructing. He was married to Marie Dixon Briggs for 27 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie D. Briggs, his son, James Eddie Briggs (Brandy), Chapel Hill, his daughter, Tina Yarborough, Efland, one sister, Jane Whitt (Mike), Hurdle Mills, one brother, John Eddie Briggs, Jr. (Carolyn), Roxboro, and five grandchildren: Victoria Keeter, Shane Keeter, Devin Keeter, Eli Briggs, and Lexi Smith. He was predeceased by his parents, Geraldine and John Eddie Briggs, Sr. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Shane Silvers and Pastor Mike Whitt. Visitation will be 1- 2:20 PM before the service. Burial will follow in Old Lea Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made on behalf of the family to Walker's Funeral Home, P.O.
