Jacob Silver

Jacob Isadore Silver's spirit peacefully joined God February 24, 2017. Born September 13, 1934, Jack was lovingly devoted to his wife of 59 years, Rochelle, and loved grandchildren Wilson and Sarah more than life itself. He will be deeply missed by daughters Cheryl & Sheila, son-in-law Bob, brother Norman, sister-in-law Sylvia, countless nieces, nephews and close friends. Jack served our country for 24 years in the Air Force, was an avid golfer and bowler and never met a computer he couldn't take apart or put together. The family extends a heartfelt Thank You to All of Jack's Dr.'s, Nurses, & Aides. Special Gratitude to Dr. John Kallianos whom he watched grow up then who watched him grow old and Dr. Elizabeth Henke who not only cared for his heart but truly became part of his heartbeat. All are welcome to celebrate his life Tuesday morning, 2/28, starting at Walker Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, 11:00am, followed by internment at Judea Cemetery. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to the Saturday Shabbat Luncheon fund at Judea Reform Congregation,1933 West Cornwallis Road, Durham, NC 27705.
