Hazel Hargis

Mrs. Hazel Tate Hargis, wife of the late Mark Twain Hargis, died Friday afternoon at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. A memorial service for Mrs. Hargis will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Mebane United Methodist Church, 200 S. 4th Street, Mebane. Officiating will be Rev. Johnnie Wright. Mrs. Hargis is survived by her daughters, Carolyn H. Graham, and her husband, Mark, of Burlington, NC, Kaye H. Armfield of Asheboro, NC, and Lisa H. Davis, of Ft. Myers, FL; brother, Hurley Tyson Tate; and her sister, Frankie Pauline Tate Moore. In addition to her husband, Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Workman and Robert Henry Tate, and her son, Jerry Hargis. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Samaritan Fund at Mebane United Methodist Church, or to a charity of one's choice.
