Hattie Davis

Mrs. Hattie Harward Davis, age 92 of Harward Lane, Chapel Hill passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her home, with her family by her side. Mrs. Davis was born May 1, 1924 in Orange County to the late Walter and Hattie Pearl Lloyd Harward. She was the wife of Andrew W. Davis whom survives. Mrs. Davis was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and retired from Ligget-Myers after forty-two years of faithful service. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her brother, Aubrey Harward and her sister, Erma Harward Pearson. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of sixty-eight years, Andrew Davis, of the home, her son, Walter Randall Davis and wife Amy of Raleigh, NC, and one grandson, Randall Stewart Davis. Funeral Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Interment will take place at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow the funeral service.
