Harold Strayhorn

Mr. Harold W. Strayhorn, 77, died peacefully on January 28, 2019, in Presbyterian Home, Hawfields. He lived his life in Hillsborough and was a long time client of Orange Enterprises. Harold was the fourth child of Herman H. and Lucille W. Strayhorn. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, Burch Compton. He is survived by his sisters Carolyn Compton, Dolly Roberts (Oliver), Hilda Leigh (Richard) and many nieces and nephews and their families.. Funeral Services were conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, at First Baptist Church, Hillsborough. Burial followed in the New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 4701 Highway 86 South. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or New Hope Presbyterian Church. The Strayhorn family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsboroough.
