Hannah Myrtle Terrell Collins, 79, of Cedar Grove passed away February 14, 2015. She was born in Orange County, NC on September 24, 1935 to the late Bertie Wilson Terrell and John Monroe Terrell. Growing up Hannah worked with her mother in the tobacco and farming business. She accepted Christ at a very young age at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church and attended Aycock High School. While attending school Hannah worked as a waitress and later became owner of the Cedar Grove Family Care Home, where she took care of her clients for 38 years. Hannah Also raised three of her grandchildren as her own. Hannah was a devoted wife of the late Roy Collins and leaves to cherish her memory aunt, Linda W. Wilson; seven children, Rachel Morgan, Leroy Collins, Roy Collins of Mebane, NC, Hannah Stone, Mary Collins of Hillsborough, Jackie Collins and Betsy Collins of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren, Timothy Hopson, Cheyenne Holloway, Max Morgan, Haley Morgan and Roy (Boo-Boo) Collins; two great grandchildren, Karie Holloway and Sawyer Morgan. Happy Valentines Day! Mom Hannah The lord called you home on Valentines Day to reunite with Papa together hand in hand. Now the two of you can rest in peace. "Love from the Children" Service will be 3 PM Sunday, February 22 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Manley Palmer and Rev. Karl Grant officiating. Burial will follow Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 - 9 PM Saturday, February 21 at Walker's Funeral Home, Hillsborough.
