Gregory James Watrous, 51, of Mebane, NC, passed away on October 26, 2024.


Greg was born March 3, 1973 in Potsdam, NY, the son of Stephen and Linda Evans Watrous of Canton, NY and brother to Keith Watrous of Chandler, Arizona.


Greg graduated from Hugh C. Williams Senior High School, Canton NY in 1992, then went on to Herkimer College, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education. His passion was entertaining and teaching young children. Later in his career he found purpose working with the Interfaith Council Community House in Chapel Hill.


Greg married Jeannie Wilson on 04/04/2009 and went on to have two children, Lainey Lynn (12) and Josephine Lee (10).


Greg was a diehard fan of the New York Yankees, the Syracuse Orangemen, the NY Giants, the NY Rangers and all things sports related. He was an avid collector of sports, wrestling, and tv memorabilia. He loved his family, his wife and children and his pets with all of his heart.


Greg was preceded in death by his father Stephen and is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeannie, two daughters, Lainey and Jo, mother, Linda, brother, Keith and nieces, Kaley and Mekenzie.


A service will be held at Walker’s Funeral Home on November 1 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made at your local animal shelter or at the Interfaith Council Community House in Chapel Hill.
