Glendora Skinner Galatioto, lovingly known as Red, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was born on December 19, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, to her mother, Helen Hazel.

Glendora was the devoted wife of the late Charles “Charlie” Anthony Galatioto, also a New York native, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to their family. They settled in North Carolina, where they raised their beloved son, Charles "Chuck" Hudson.

Glendora embraced life with joy, kindness, and an open heart. She found happiness in dancing, music, and bringing people together. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds—she was a mother figure to many, always ready to welcome anyone in need with open arms and an open heart.

She leaves behind her loving son Charles "Chuck" Hudson (Candice); her siblings Elizabeth “Flossie” Hudson, Roberta “Enut” Hudson, Albert Hudson, and Odell “Marco” Hudson; and her cherished grandchildren Kylie, Charles Jr., Addison, and Charlie. Aunts Louise, JoAnn, and Joan. Uncles Bert, Billy, Baldie, Jimmie, and Anthony; her goddaughter Theresa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Hazel; her husband, Charles “Charlie” Galatioto; her brothers David Hudson, John “City” Hudson, and Joseph “Pee Wee” Hudson, Sr.; and her sister, Lois Hudson-Roseman.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Glendora’s life will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 304 W. Center St., Mebane, NC 27302.

Glendora’s love and laughter will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.

A Memorial Service will be held at St.Thomas More Church in Chapel Hill on Monday, April 7, beginning at 2:00pm.

Arrangements are in the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane.
