Gilbert Henry Godfrey, Jr.

Gilbert Henry Godfrey Jr, ,41, of Hillsborough, Passed away June 5th. JR was born at UNC Chapel Hill. JR never knew a stranger; had many friends who became family, and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his chosen mom Candace Wood of Efland NC. His two daughters Shayna and Shianne, niece and nephews Virginia Smith,Johnathan Godfrey,Rita Rogers,Dustin Rogers,Jacob Rogers,Samuel Howard Rogers III. Great niece and nephews Kenlee Parker,Brayden Marsh and Weston Marsh. His adoptive family sisters Tiffany Cates,Kelsey Keeter, Caitlyn Wood and brother Waylon Keeter.

He was predeceased by his father Gilbert Henry Godfrey Sr, his mother Virginia Newman, sisters Tina Godfrey and Ann Godfrey.

Memorial arrangements are being made at this time.
