Geraldine Lunsford

Geraldine Parker Lunsford, born August 12, 1940, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at her home of 41 years. Geraldine was a lifelong member and pillar of the Walnut Grove Community. She grew up as one of nine children on a Walnut Grove farm and dairy, being the last surviving member of the family. Geraldine was married for 51 years to the late Howard Dillon Lunsford, Sr., together they became early business entrepreneurs starting in 1969, successfully owning multiple convenience stores across the triangle area. Geraldine was a woman of strength and grace, holding everyone around her to the highest of standards. In her lifetime, Geraldine's greatest passions were her family, her church, and her community. Surviving Geraldine include, sons: Howard Dillion Lunsford, Jr; Anthony Craig Lunsford and wife Carla S. Lunsford, grandchildren: Thomas Dillion Lunsford and Ashlee Michelle Terrell; Tyler Efland Lunsford and Collin Parker Lunsford, great grandchild: Ayden Thomas Lunsford. Special gratitude is extended to Jeanene Crawford for her care and support of Ms. Lunsford.
