George Anthony Trapp

George Anthony (Tony) Trapp, 82, of Hillsborough, NC, died Monday afternoon, March 15, 2021 at home. Born December 1, 1938 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Francis and Frances Trapp. He is survived by his wife Ellen Trapp, son Raymond Trapp of Cocoa Beach, FL, daughters Carolyn Trapp (Brian Young) of Efland, NC, and Melanie Watson (James) of Hillsborough, NC; grandchildren Dylan and MacKenzie Trapp, Aiden Young, Tristin and Anthony Watson and his brother Bill Trapp of McLean, VA. He was preceded in death by a brother Ted Trapp and sisters Norma and Eleanor Trapp. He graduated from George Mason Jr. Sr. High School in 1957and was employed by Delta Air Lines in Washington, D.C. as a customer relations supervisor for 33 years. After retirement he worked for seven years for the Collier County Florida Transportation System. He was a member of the Army National Guard of Virginia for nine years, a board member of the World Historical Airline Society and secretary of the local National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. A service will be held at Walker’s Funeral Home, 204 North Churton Street, Hillsborough, NC 27278 on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to The Paralyzed Veterans of America (please use the link on the left). The Trapp family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
