George Parker

Mr. George Wesley "Wes" Parker, Jr., 41, of Carrboro, died December 26, 2015 at his home. Wes was born in Sanford, NC on May 14, 1974, the son of George W. Parker, Sr. and Sally Gravely Parker. He graduated from Lee County High School, East Carolina University in Greenville, and UNC at Chapel Hill. Wes also obtained his law degree from NCCU in Durham. For the past nine years, Wes was employed by by Blue Cross / Blue Shield where he was an IT manager, working between offices in Durham and Chapel Hill. Wes was a loving husband to Joanna, and a and loving father to his son Aiden. Others surviving include his father, George, of Pinehurst; his mother, Sally, of Sanford; brothers, John Parker and Leland Parker; and sister, Whitney Parker. The memorial service to celebrate the life of Wes Parker will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the chapel of Walker's Funeral Home, 120 W. Franklin St. in Chapel Hill.
