Frank Galick passed away on December 14, 2024, at Carolina Meadows, Chapel Hill, NC. Frank was born on December 22, 1931, in Fort Ann, NY and was the son of Frank and Doris Parrish Galick. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jeanne Hunter Galick, daughter Holly Bonsignore and her husband William, sisters Kathe Petro and Wanda Reeves, brother-in-law Richard Hunter and his wife Janet and several nieces and nephews.
At age 2, Frank moved with his family to Wallkill, NY, where he resided for 54 years. He served in the Army National Guard from 1950 to 1956. Frank earned an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering and worked for IBM for 35 years, starting on construction of their facilities in Poughkeepsie, NY and progressing to various senior management positions within the Company. Following retirement from IBM in 1987, Frank and Jeanne moved to Zionsville, IN where he became a licensed realtor for 7 years before fully retiring to Fearrington Village in Pittsboro, NC, then moving on to Carolina Meadows in 2017.
Frank loved Jeanne, hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, woodworking, and historic biographies.
A mass in memory of Frank will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Newman Catholic Student Center, 218 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill, NC at 10:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at Carolina Meadows.
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. , another mass for Frank will be held at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church, 89 Union Street, Montgomery, NY, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
In lieu of flowers, you are invited to contribute to the charity of your choice.
