Ms. Frances T. Lassiter, 85, of Hurdle Mills, died March 5, 2018 at Duke Regional Hospital due to pneumonia and kidney failure. Frances was born in Orange County, the daughter of the late J. O. Terry and Annie P. Terry. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Golden Belt Manufacturing Company in Durham. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and baking. Frances was a homemaker with Wayne Berry, her 46-year companion. Frances is survived by her sister Edna Tucker, and brothers Bobby Terry (Betsy) of Hillsborough, Warren Terry of Hillsborough, Richard Terry of Mebane and Jack Terry (Kathy) of Durham. She was also preceded in death by brothers Billy, Frank and Rainey Terry. She was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at 1:00 Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment was at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church cemetery in Hurdle Mills. Pallbearers are nephews: Scott Terry, Stephen Tucker, Lee Terry, Kevin Terry, Steve Terry and Mickey Terry. Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough is in charge of the arrangements.
