Faye Settlemyre

Faye Marie Voncannon Settlemyre age 88 of Hillsborough, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Funeral services were private at New Hope Presbyterian Church of Chapel Hill. Mrs. Settlemyre was born April 6, 1930 to Leo Scott and Carl Voncannon of Farmer, NC. Following the death of both parents she was raised by her aunt and uncle Faye and Corbett Scott of Asheboro, NC. Faye graduated from Asheboro High School in 1948 and attended Peace College in Raleigh, NC. She was married to Charles Settlemyre in 1952 who predeceased her in 2007. She is survived by daughters Susan Settlemyre of Greenville, NC and Catherine Parker (Danny) of Emerald Isle, NC. She is also survived by two grandchildren Hillary (Clifton) Maddox of Greenville, NC and Drew (Amber) Parker of Coates, NC. She was predeceased by two grandsons Jeffrey Scott and Michael David Parker and her brother James Tyson Scott of Aheboro, NC.
