Evelyn Jeanne Perry

Evelyn Perry, 80, of Hillsborough passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2025. Born August 15, 1944 in Boone, NC, Evelyn spent most of her life in Hillsborough. Evelyn worked for the Orange County Department of Social Services for more than 30 years and had a passion for helping people. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up. She found joy in traveling and was fortunate to explore many countries. Most of these trips were with Christian Tours where she traveled with her mother and sisters.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, Samuel Teague, her parents Frank and Grace Perry and her brother Dwayne Perry.She is survived by her son, Darrell Teague, her daughter Melinda Pickett (Steve) her grandchildren, Haley Pickett and Mason Pickett, and her sisters, Mary Carolyn Bishop and Judy Kadlac who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

The family will hold visitation from 1:00 -2:00 Monday February 24, 2025 at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Hillsborough, followed by the service at 2:00. Her family deeply appreciates the love and support during this difficult time.
