Eugenia Rice Gravitte

Mrs. Eugenia (Beanie) Gravitte passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born in Hillsborough, North Carolina on November 12, 1932, the daughter of Sara Jane (Jennie) and Eugene Jordan. Beanie's door was always open to family and friends. She welcomed everyone with her home cooked meals, a hug, and most likely a bag of Hershey's Hugs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, creating beautiful flower arrangements, and shopping at Walmart. Every day was Christmas Day at Beanie's house. She was preceded in death by her husband William Gates Gravitte, and her son Randy Gates Gravitte. Survivors include her children, Ray Gravitte (Cathy) and Debra Gravitte Edwards, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22 at Hillsborough Town Cemetery with Rev. David Bolick and Rev. Odell Link officiating.
