Estelle Strum Blackwelder

Orange County Hillsborough - Mrs. Estelle Strum Blackwelder, 96, died April 11, 2014. She was a life time resident of Orange County. Mrs. Blackwelder was born October 5, 1917 to the late Dick and Lizzie Strum. She was also a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is in death predeceased by her husband Charlie Blackwelder and brother, Matthew Strum. She has one sister, Nettie Gravitte, and one sister-in-law, Valeria Strum. Surviving are daughters, Annie Laura Perdue of Jamestown and Frances Twiford of New Bern, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11 AM April 14, in Hillsborough Town Cemetery officiated by Laurna Badendieck.
