Erik Ray Welch

Erik R Welch was a beautiful soul, born on October 23, 1984, to Walter Welch and Debra (Stowe) Crossett in Ogdensburg, NY. The Lord chose to take Erik home on February 6, 2023 following a fatal car accident. He will be missed by so many.

In 1996 Erik came to settle with his mother Deb, and stepfather, Kevin Crossett, in Hillsborough, NC. Erik finished Middle and High School in Hillsborough.

Erik was a talented young man, in his youth learning automotive repair and building with his father, and carpentry and construction with Kevin. Eventually, Erik went on to become a tradesman in the electrical field. Erik’s true love however, was electrifying guitar strings, which he also mastered.

Erik was preceded in death by both his mother and his father; his grandparents, Raymond and Patricia Stowe; uncle, Michael Stowe; step-grandparents, Hamilton and Joan Kane; step-grandfather, Kenneth Crossett, Sr; and cousin, Patrick Crossett.

Those he left behind are his Uncle Randy Stowe, and Aunt Lori Stowe as well as several cousins; the stepfather Erik adopted at age 16, Kevin Crossett, and his partner, DeeAnn Darrow (Hillsborough, NC); aunts and uncles: Kenneth Crossett, Jr and Linda (Lisbon, NY), Kathy and Steve Blanton (Hartford, CT), Kirk and Lori Crossett (Heuvelton, NY), Kimberly Crossett (Hartford, CT), Klayton Crossett (Lisbon, NY), and Kris and Bridget Crossett (Herkimer, NY); Jerry and Dawn Crossett (Lisbon, NY), and numerous cousins and friends.
