Emily Satterthwaite Brown

DURHAM - Emily Priscilla Satterthwaite Brown, 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning, August 24, 2011. Ms. Brown was born in Washington County, the daughter of the late Vance Satterthwaite and Louise Tetterton Satterthwaite. She was also predeceased by her brothers Lafayette Satterthwaite, Harry Satterthwaite, Russell Laurie Satterthwaite, and her sisters Mary Virginia Satterthwaite and Dinah Grace Dreed. She enjoyed researching her family history and spoiling her grandchildren. Ms. Brown is survived by her sisters: Louise Boles, Sarah Ulloth , Martha Thompson, Gloria Radke , Betty Klug; brothers: Asa Satterthwaite, Wilton Satterthwaite; her daughter Laura Bagley; and grandchildren Wade Bagley, Sienna Bagley, and Serena Bagley. The funeral service will be held at the Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Manley Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM to 2:15PM The family wishes to give special thanks to Duke Hospice for the loving care that they gave Ms. Brown. Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough is assisting the Brown family.
