Elizabeth Barham

Dateline: New Glarus, WI/Blanchardville, WI/Chapel Hill, NC Elizabeth G. Barham, age 94, formerly of Chapel Hill, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on September 17, 1920 in Chapel Hill to her parents Joseph W. Gattis and Lillian (Norwood) Gattis. On September, 27, 1946 Elizabeth was united in marriage to George Odell Barham. He preceded her in death in 2008. Elizabeth was a homemaker, but had worked during the WWII war effort to produce ammunition. Elizabeth is survived by her son Kim (Roberta) Barham of Blanchardville, WI She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Westwood Cemetery, Davie Street and Fidelity Street, Carrboro, NC.
