Edwin Woods

Hillsborough - Edwin Kirk Woods, 56, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015. He was born in Durham County and grew up in Hillsborough. He was a graduate of Orange High School and Alamance Community College. He was employed at IBM and also worked at the family business of Woods Brothers. He was also self-employed as an independent contractor and land developer. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends and family, especially his son and grandsons. He also enjoyed riding his motor cycle, and cookouts with friends and family. We all knew Kirk in our own way, and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his son, Brian Woods and wife Hannah, his brother Terry Woods, his mother, Mary Ruth Cook Woods, two grandchildren: Wyatt and Cohen Woods, fianceé Patti Hall, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Wilford H. Woods, brother, John Michael Woods, and sister Joy Woods Taylor. The memorial service will be at 2:30 PM Saturday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 1-2:30 PM Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hock Hospice, 4023 N.
