Dr. Edward William Davidian Chapel Hill Dr. Edward William Davidian joined his wife Helene Daberkow Davidian in heaven early morning October 5th. He lived a satisfying and complete life and will be missed by many who loved him. His generosity and kindness have touched many people over the last 71 years. He attended Christ United Methodist Church where the funeral will be held 9:30 a.m. on October 8th the visitation will begin at 8:45 a.m. Dr. Davidian was born on January 4, 1940 in Smithfield, NC at Johnston County Hospital, where his father was a general surgeon. He was born to Margeret Graves Davidian and Vartan Ambar Davidian, Sr. He was educated in Smithfield Schools until his junior high school year at which he attended Asheville School. Subsequently, he attended UNC-CH and became practicing Associate Professor of Anesthesia at UNC medical school. He was married to Helene Davidian for 41 years and is survived by his two sons, Dr. Edward W. Davidian, Jr. Dr. Daniel K. Davidian and by his 3 grandchildren. After his wife's passing from cancer he supported the formation of the Helene Foundation started by his daughter-in-law Tracy Davidian. This organization helps mothers fighting cancer.
