Dorothy Mae Manuel

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Simmons Manuel age 90 of Mebane died on October 3rd, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Alamance in Burlington, NC. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was the daughter of the late Ethel and Reece Simmons. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Odell Manuel, her Brothers, Talmadge and Allen Simmons, her sister Marie McKinney and Daughter in Law Carolyn Manuel. She is survived by her son Ronald Manuel, Grandaughter Amy Anderson, Great Grandson Kevin Scarboro and Great Grand Daughter Katie Higdon, four great great grandchildren Dorothy was a head seamstress at Peaches and Cream in Mebane retiring after 40 years. She is a daughter of Christ, of the Baptist faith and was a strong loving woman. Dorothy loved sewing and making her family clothes, even after she retired. She loved to cook for her family at Christmas.
