Dorothy Hobby

Dorothy Wilson Hobby, 87, of Cedar Grove passed away February 12, 2015. She was born July 30, 1927 to the late Odie and Betty Rogers Wilson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Sam James; second husband Norman Hobby; son, Sammy James and sister Elaine Wilson. Dorothy was a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church and was a member of the Carrboro Farmers Market for about 25 years. Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Bobby James, Harry James; brothers, Billy Wilson; sisters, Mary Ann Sykes, Jeanette Oldham; grandsons, Ricky James, Jeff James, Randy James, Timmy James; granddaughter, Scarlet James Wheeler; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Service will be 3 PM Saturday, February 14 at Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane with Rev. Rick Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
