Donnie Ward

Mr. Donnie Blake Ward, age 83, passed away at the Brookshire Nursing Home in Hillsborough on April 2, 2018. Donnie was born in Chatham County on April 21, 1934 to his parents Bruce Howard and Mildred Blake Ward. Mr. Ward grew up in Chatham and Orange counties and married Joyce Boone on November 5, 1955. In addition to his wife Joyce survivors include his son, Gregory Scott Ward; his half brother Lamont Durham and his half sister Phyllis Nichols. Graveside services will be on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Hwy 86. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Carrboro United Methodist Church, 200 Hillsborough Road, Carrboro, NC, 27510.
