Dixie King Knight

Dixie Lee King Knight, 80, died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at her home. Born in Hillsborough, Dixie was the daughter of the late Garland King and Myrtle King. Dixie was a book keeper for Knight's Heating and Air for over 40 years. She attended Fairview Baptist Church in Hillsborough. Dixie is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Walter Knight Jr; two sons, Randy Knight and Robbie Knight; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sylvia Ann Lindley. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30pm on Wednesday, November 11th at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Hoyt Shuford officiating. Interment will follow at Hillsborough Town Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday afternoon from 1 - 2:30pm at Fairview Baptist Church directly before the funeral. Dixie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she had many friends. She is loved and missed.
