David Mercs

David E Mercs, 66 yrs. old originally from Dayton, OH and worked for UNC Chapel Hill Facilities Planning as a Mechanical Engineer for 28+ yrs. On March 24, 2016 he passed away with his family and minister bedside. He fought a hard battle for several months with failing health. Dave loved baseball, fishing, the coast line and good seafood. He leaves behind his wife of 42 yrs. Cheryl, son-Andy Mercs and his wife Erin of Mebane, NC, Tony Mercs- brother of Florida and Rita Mercs - sister of Florida. In the near future the family will have a memorial over at the NC coast to spread his ashes out to sea. Dave loved the beach and they always wanted to live near the coast.
