ALAMANCE COUNTY MEBANE - Mrs.Connie Kaye Slaton Whitaker, 47 , died Tuesday, January 8, 2013.She was a native of Mebane and a nurse at The Forest at Duke. Surviving are her parents, Vicki Lee Owens, and Ernest V. and June Slaton; her son, Mason Fuquay, her daughter, Krista Martin, and her brother, Steven V. Slaton (Haley).
