Clyde Bowden

January 17, 1920 — September 7, 2014

-Chapel Hill- Clyde Howard Bowden, 94, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2014. Clyde was the son of the late Henry Albert and Annie Eubanks Bowden. He was also predeceased by his wife Louise; three brothers Charlie, Henry and Clearance; and two sisters Lillian and Emily. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and one very special care giver Lucy Williams. For many years Clyde was a dairy farmer, working the land he grew up on. He was a member of the Long Meadow Dairy Coop. In his later years he purchased and operated his backhoe installing septic systems and grading work. Clyde was also a veteran of World War II serving in the European area as a Field Medic. Visitation will be at Damascus Congragational Christian Church located at 522 Damascus Church Road in Chapel Hill on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Damascus Congragational Christian Church Cemetery Fund. Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill is honored to serve the Bowden family.
