Cleaon Scarlett

Hillsborough - Cleaon Toney Tyson Scarlett, 85, died Friday, August 11, 2017. She was an Orange County native and attended the Orange County schools. She was the last of 14 children. She worked in Bellevue Mill and later in the Orange County school system. Surviving are her husband Henry Scarlett, her daughter, Tammy Elizabeth Scarlett, her son, James Scarlett (Mitzi), five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Daisy Guyton and Harley Cline Tyson, daughter, Toney Marie Scarlett Clapp, five brothers and eight sisters, . Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday in Walker's Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. O'Dell Link and Bishop Dale Morgan. Burial will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday. Pallbears will be Wallace Cole, Brian Phelps, Robert Scarlett, Roger Scarlett, Jack Wood and Robbie Wood.
