Christopher Jones, Jr.

Christopher Scott Jones, Jr. (“CJ”) went to be with our Lord on April 7, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. CJ was born On January 4, 2019 to Joanne Blankenship and Christopher Scott Jones, Sr. He is survived by his parents both of Chapel Hill, two brothers, Jason Scott Lewis and Matthew Hanna, one sister, Hannah Pennell all of Henderson, NC. Also surviving is his maternal aunt, Amy Donoway of Henderson, uncle, Chris Donoway of Salisbury, MD., grandfather, Joseph Blankenship of Sykesville, MD., great uncle Paul Donoway and great aunt, Sylvia Donoway both of Salisbury, MD., paternal grandmother, Betty Jones of Rising Sun, MD., great uncle, Jeff Jones of Newark, DE., uncle Eric Jones of Rising Sun, MD., aunt Crystal March of New Castle, DE., his special GG, Angie Smith and God father, Tracy Durham both of Chapel Hill and his God mother, Paula Harrington of Durham. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Valerie Donoway Blankenship, great grandparents, Eugene and Virginia Donoway and great grandmother, Juanita Jones. Our precious little miracle baby always had a smile that could steal your heart and he was always such a happy little baby boy. Everyone adored his cheeks and his beautiful blue eyes. He was such a gift to the world. Words cannot describe how much he will be missed. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Walker's Fuenral Home, 120 W. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill. Burial followed in the Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery in Hillsborough. The Jones/Blankenship family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill.
