Carrboro - Charles Brent Dorrity Charles Brent Dorrity, 80, of Carrboro passed away at Brookshire Nursing Center on March 22, 2015. He was born in Orange County, NC on January 25, 1935 to the late Bessie Dorrity Blake. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by aunts, Annie Dickey, Louise Aldrich; step-father, Paul Blake; cousins, Harold Dickey and Gypsy Lee Dorrity. Charles was a 1953 graduate of Hillsboro High School and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from UNC in 1957. Those left to cherish his memory are cousins, Evelyn Hicks of Hillsborough, Geneva Carroll of Hillsborough, Linda Shambley of Hillsborough, James Aldrich of Graham, and Carolyn Anderson of Kernersville. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough with Pastor Bobby Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery, Carrboro. Visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of you choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Brookshire Nursing Center for the special care they provided to Charles.
