Catherine Long

Hillsborough - Mrs. Catherine Minnis Long died, Friday, June 12, 2015. She was born in Orange County. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and High Point College. She retired from UNC-Chapel Hill. She was the widow of Wade Odell Snipes. Surviving are her daughter, Betsy Snipes Wilson (Ricky), her son, Thomas "Buster" Snipes (Karen), one sister, Doris Minnis Lewis, and two grandchildren, Dexter Snipes and Holly Snipes. She was predeceased by her parents, Lois and William Arthur Minnis, one sister and one brother. The funeral will be held 2:30 PM Sunday in Union Grove United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rick Greenway. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2:15 PM Sunday in the church. Walkersfuneralservice.com
