Cary Dearmey

Mebane - Cary Lee DeArmey, of Mebane, NC, went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2017. Cary was a graduate of LeTourneau College in Longview, TX with a degree in mechanical engineering (specialty in welding). He was employed by GKN. Cary's love for 'CARS' lasted a lifetime. Cary had a sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. Cary was lovingly known by his Grandchildren as Pappy. Cary and his wife Hazel attended Ebenezer Baptist in Hillsborough, NC. Cary is preceded in death by his parents, Max A. DeArmey and Helen E.(Shaffer) DeArmey, his Father- In- Law, Barney Works, Mother -In - Law Edith (Trotter) Works, and Sister - In -Law - Elaine (Works) Rainey. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Hazel J. (Works) DeArmey, his sons: Bill L. DeArmey and wife Stephanie (Lee) DeArmey, and Scott C. DeArmey and wife Liza (Potter) DeArmey, four grandchildren: Kaycee DeArmey, Max DeArmey, Jack DeArmey, and Claire DeArmey, two sisters: E. Sue (DeArmey) Lipscomb and husband Jack C. Lipscomb, and Katy (DeArmey) Lasure and husband Wayne Lasure, a brother, Timothy DeArmey and Pamela Yanosky , a Sister In Law, Wanda (Works) Moore , and a Brother In Law, Steve Rainey The family will receive friends, Friday, March 17, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Walker's Funeral Home, 204 N. Churton St. Hillsborough, NC. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1210 Pleasant Green Rd. Hillsborough, NC with Rev. Bob Sipper and Rev. Earl Echols officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Memorial Park, Graham, NC. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Agape Center - P.O.
